AeroPremier Jet Center scheduled to begin operations at New Orleans' Lakefront Airport on June 1st, 2008

AeroPremier Jet Center LLC, a new FBO in the New Orleans market, is pleased to announce it will commence operations at New Orleans Lakefront Airport on June 1st. AeroPremier recently just signed a multiyear lease to operate at NEW.

"We are excited to finally be able to start offering the comprehensive level of aviation services desperately needed in New Orleans," stated AeroPremier President Keith O'Leary. "Signing the lease clears the way for us to begin operations in June," he added.

AeroPremier will operate out of the former National Guard facility, which was left vacant when the Air Guard relocated its operations after Katrina. Making a significant investment in the building, AeroPremier will work with the airport to create the area's largest aviation services complex. In addition to the former Guard Facility, AeroPremier will base its aircraft maintenance operations at another large hangar, located on the north end of the airport.

"This will be a world class aviation facility, with the most comprehensive menu of aviation services available in the entire region," according to O'Leary.

AeroPremier will operate the area's largest FBO hangar and office complex.   The complex includes over 50,000 square feet of hangar space, and will eventually contain almost 40,000 square feet of offices.  Pilots and their passengers will enjoy convenient and friendly service, spacious lounges, state of the art flight planning facilities, and other amenities generally only available at the largest FBOs.

Services available at the facility will include fuel, in house aircraft maintenance, aircraft sales, aircraft management, flight training, aircraft charter, aircraft cleaning, and catering.

An FBO stands for "Fixed Base Operator", an aviation industry term for a company that provides services to aircraft.  FBOs services range from basic fuel and aircraft handling to comprehensive services, such as aircraft maintenance.

AeroPremier began the process of acquiring rights to operate at Lakefront in late 2006, as it evaluated the available facilities in the wake of Katrina.  Working with Advantage Capital Partners, New Orleans' largest venture capital firm, AeroPremier personnel identified numerous damaged  hangars and offices, that were still vacant a year after the storm.  With a desire to invest in the rebuilding of New Orleans, Advantage Capital committed the capital necessary to allow AeroPremier to provide services and infrastructure improvements at Lakefront.

AeroPremier expects to hire as many as 20 employees during the next 12 months, including customer service, line service and maintenance personnel.
